Extension Master Gardener Demonstration Gardens at the Historic Courthouse Square in Dobson
The Sensory Garden
Was designed to stimulate the senses of sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch and features:
• musical instruments
• flowering vines, bedding plants, and containers
• eye-catching “yart” (yard art)
• a paver walkway to accommodate those with mobility issues
The sensory garden was designed to promote the health and well being of all, and may be of special value for adults and children with disabilities or processing disorders such as autism or attention deficit disorder.
